Built by one of the country's most noted carousel builders, Charles Looff, the Santa Monica Looff Hippodrome is a nationally landmarked structure at the Santa Monica Pier that is home to a succession of vintage merry-go-rounds and Wurlitzer organs. The Looff Hippodrome carousel building was prominently featured in the Paul Newman and Robert Redford movie, The Sting.
