The New York City Ballet is a ballet company founded by famed choreographers George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein. The ballet company holds one of the largest repertoire by far of any American ballet company, often staging more than 60 ballets in its winter and spring seasons at Lincoln Center, and more than 20 ballets in its summer season in Saratoga Springs. Famous pieces produced by the NYCB include Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Nutcracker.
